Scotland-based oilfield services company Reservoir Group (RG), whose Corpro and Dowdco businesses are global-leading coring specialists, is pleased to announce that it has formed an alliance with Quest Coring. Headquartered in Canada, Quest will distribute its innovative and exclusive large bore wireline coring technology through the RG Geo division’s extensive international network.

An increasing need for reliable, precise and insightful evaluation of formations - driven by exploration and development of unconventional reservoirs, in particular gas shale - has resulted in a growing demand for coring services. Quest’s Quick CoreTM technology offers a new means for customers to obtain reliable and accurate core data while in most occurrences reducing coring time by a remarkable factor of 2 to 3 fold.
