Enigma Data Solutions announced next release of SmartMove, SmartMove 2.4.1.
SmartMove is a powerful policy engine based on rules and filters to migrate, copy and archive files across several different filesystems.
Versioning of managed files; maintenance of file deletion policies; synchronization between source and destination locations (Housekeeping ); data management reporting including future data usage reporting and many other features give the client full control of their managed data.
This new release introduces some interesting easy-to-use features and improvements over its predecessor such as the ability to support absolute destinations making SmartMove perfect for one-off data relocation projects.
Amongst other improvements is the job progress monitoring functionality added to Housekeeping. A more efficient server/client interface and finally a more robust SmartMove data reporting can be achieved in this release.
